Windy and a few showers overcast. Walked for bread, late breakfast, did the washing. Visited James Cook Historical Museum in a convent, excellent collection of Cook maps charts articles etc. Aboriginal artefacts of the area Chinese shrine collection of pioneer memorabilia but we ran out of time. Drove to Grassy Hill, Cooks lookout for lunch, good pies from the Bakery. Put Toyota in for a service visited Sea Museum mish mash collection of sea things old fellow with an amusing patter but could have missed it. Did tourist bit along main street mother of pearl industries. Went to see Cooktown orchids at nursery non display. Mended the fridge, chatted with the neighbours and went to the bistro for tea. Talked with salesman Myles Whittington.
